Black Krim - Heirloom Tomato

An old variety from the early 1900's originating in Crimea on the Black Sea.  This produces large, flattened and fluted fruits which ripen to the deepest purple-red - almost black. The flavour is intense, slightly smoky and salty.  A beautiful tomato to slice, add to salads, and cook with. 

Due to the deep fluting the fruit is prone to cracking and catfacing but this doesn't detract from the flavour.

These indeterminate plants will require staking to support the plant and fruit and warmer sites are preferred.
