Calendula - Orange

Calendula is a companion plant that can help in vegetable gardens by attracting pollinators like bees and hoverflies.  This plant also repels pests with its sticky leaves, petals and centres trapping pests like aphids and whitefly.  If that wasn't enough goodness from a plant the roots also form relationships with soil funghi improving the health of your soil.

Calendula leaves can also be used in cooking and as a medicinal herb.

Plant near tomatoes, carrots and asparagus.  Scatter in a full sun or partial shade area and lightly cover with soil, keeping moist until seedlings appear.
