Jalapeño - Heirloom Chilli

Native to Mexico the jalapeño chilli produces large thick-skinned fruit starting green and changing to bright red when fully ripe.  Sitting on the Scoville scale at between 4,000-8,500 units, these chillis are pleasantly hot.  Often used in salsa, hot sauce, pickles, or even stuffed and deep fried into jalapeño poppers.
