Originating in Mexico the Purple Jalapeño will delight you with dark stemmed plants, purple flowers, and finally the most luscious deep purple pods - with more of a point than other Jalapeños. The pods will ripen to red if left on the plant.
With a moderate heat level - 5,000 - 10,000 SHU - use these as you would any other Jalapeño; pickled, poppers, or fresh.
