Rocoto Chilli - Capsicum pubescens

Rocoto Chilli is a perennial chilli native to Bolivia, Peru and Ecuador, and has been grown since Incan times. It can live for more than 10 years growing into a small tree - up to 5m.  In temperate climates it will fruit all year long.

The Rocoto is extremely hot - between 100,000 and 250,000 on the Scoville Heat Index.

Fruit, containing black seeds, can grow 5cm to 7cm and are perfect for chilli sauces or even for stuffing.
