San Marzano - Heirloom Tomato

San Marzano tomato is a variety of plum tomato originating in the Campania region of Italy. It is known for its flavour and quality as a canning tomato. The thicker skin on these red beauties means they withstand heat better and so peeling them is much easier. These have a sweeter taste than their Roma cousins so are perfect in soups and sauces.
